Complaint Review: Home Staffers@excite.com - Brandey Boyd@excite.com

I have been researching for months to find legitimate work at home jobs. I ran across "Home Staffers" running a search for no fee work at home jobs. This was an elaborate, detailed website, with disclaimers, etc., offering "free" employment indexes, over 2000 legitimate jobs for free.

But, the owner of the website, Brandey Boyd, email at BrandeyBoyd@excite.com, wrote a detailed life story, and made it her quest to make up for all the people that were ripping people off. What irony! She explained why she had to charge "reimbursement charges" for her costs in creating her website, and her extensive research on these companies, etc. In my stupidity, and financial crisis, and wanting to work, I believed her.

My hot water has even been shut off, but I sent her the $8.00 through paypal in good faith, on the promise that instantly, after receiving her money from paypal, she would email me with a password that would unlock the download to these 2000 plus jobs! Well, I received paypal's receipt, but nothing from her. I contacted her my email 3 or 4 times, no response. I went to her guest book and wrote in there what had happend to me, in hopes others would not get duped. I have also contacted paypal, and they are going to try and get my money back, and revoke her account. I am pasting some of the stuff from her website on here, you can see how sincere she made it sound. Plz do not be as gullible as I was. $8.00 is a lot of money to me right now!

Before I introduce myself and give you my whole life story, let me just tell you a little bit about this site and what it and myself have to offer.

Now, for my story.

My name is Brandi. I'm 27, married for 7 years, with a 5 year old daughter. I am also a freelance novelist with over 15 years (yes, that's correct. I've been writing since I was 10, finished my first novel at 13). I chose to stay at home and raise my child rather than pay someone else $150/week to raise her for me. Like most, my husband's paycheck just barely covers the bills. There's nothing left over at the end of the week for any type of entertainment, for savings, for buying any little extras. We can barely afford groceries any more. I have to do all of my clothes shopping for every one on the clearance rack. Christmas and birthday presents have to be put on lay-a-way for at least 6 months in advance. And we usually only have around $100 to spend at Christmas and birthdays for our ENTIRE EXTENED FAMILY of 17. Not a lot, hugh? So you can see why it absolutely drives me crazy to see people offering to help me find a job... for a price. Come on people! If I need a job then what on earth makes these bozos think that I have $20 to $300 to spend on their junk for the elusive 'promise' of better days? Doesn't anyone see that some people just don't have a single solitary penny to spend?

But in my 5 years of searching for at home jobs, I have discovered that scams and con artists come in all shapes. Most of you are probably aware of companies and individuals who are always asking you for money or trying to convince you to buy their product. And, of course, most of the time it turns out to be useless. I mean, I've lost hundreds to the Internal Home Workers Alliance, the Home Employment Association, Douglas Clerical Services, almost to Soho Talent Bank, and numerous other companies offering me memberships to view their 'vast lists of work from home classified ads database and home-staffing companies NOW HIRING home-staffers with no experience needed!' I'm sure most of you have already been taken in by theses companies and others like them. But over the years I also discovered another type of con artist, one that is worse than someone trying to take your money. Those types are relatively easy to spot and don't mind it if you find out. But the new kind that I came across, their disguise was so good that I'm sure most of you would have fallen for it to.

As I stated before, I am just a housewife. We are not rich, we do not have expensive things, we do not blow our money on trivial things. The debts that we have were accumulated on items that we had to have and were the force of sheer bad timing and bad luck. The washing machine went out, we're in debt more. Then the dryer. More debt. Both older vehicles went out, so we consolidated and got one relatively good one. Even more debt. And then you have your utility bills, your grocery bills, the items that you must buy every day: the washing powder, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, dish detergent, cleaning supplies....the list goes on and on. And then you've got all the things that you child (or children) need because they grow so fast: the clothes, the socks and undies, the shoes. You all know it, you all live with it every day. It doesn't take much for a paycheck to disappear just trying to live. And you can forget about vacations, fancy cars, remodeling your home, or even buying clothes at regular price. Like I said, we're not rich by a long shot. We just barely make ends meet. And when things go wrong and we have unexpected repairs to make, we can no longer make those ends meet. Sound familiar?

So why did I start this site? Simply out of the kindness of my heart. Yeah, I know, some people may find this hard to believe, thinking that I am going to get rich by asking for my own expenses back. Some may think that people like me just don't exist. But I don't care if these people believe me or not. The information that I have may or may not change someone's life. It may or may not help someone in need. It may or may not help someone find an at home job. But it is there, for free, for anyone who chooses to ask for it. I'm not going to talk til I'm blue in the face trying to convince you that I'm a 'for real, legitimate' person running a 'legitimate' business. I don't run a business. I'm simply providing, free of charge, all the work from home jobs, company listings, and other work from home resources that I can find. You can take advantage of it or not; it's your choice. I don't feel that I need to justify myself. It costs to run this webiste, pure and simple. I feel that anyone who doesn't understand this and doesn't agree that I should ask for my own out-of pocket expenses back simply are not sincere about finding an at home job. Anyone who doesn't appreciate what I'm offering, in my eyes, is not going to put forth the effort to even try to find an at home job; if they are unwilling to even so much as ask for the free info then they certainly are not going to hunt for a job.

That's why I created this site. Because I am sick of it. I am sick to death of people getting money off of people like me KNOWING that what they are selling is useless trash! It has become my personal vendetta to put these money suckers out of business.

So I issue a challenge to all those out there who are charging for information on work from home jobs, etc.: If you are so sure that your info can get me a job, then put your information where your mouth is. Give me access to the information and let me review it. I'll let the public know if it's legit and if I find an at home job.
