one hand doesn't know what the other is doing .....

Let's start at the beginning, over 3 years ago. I received notice that my mortgage has been turned over to Homecomings from Bank One (what a joke huh same company). The usual "you will receive a new statement soon". Nope.

I received a letter 3 months later saying I needed to pay $x by a certain date or they will begin foreclosure. Not a problem--sent the check. They cashed it. All is well. Or so I thought.

My next payment was returned to me stating I needed to send certified funds because I was 3 months behind in my payments. What! I called immediately. The csr told me that it appeared that my payment had been applied wrong and they would get it straighted out. They would call me back. I tried to get this straightened for a long time. In the meantime, I was to send no payments. They would contact me as to when and how much I needed to pay.

Well, it's 3 years and one bankruptcy later (my business had to close because they were showing me in foreclosure). We have been in court for almost 2 years now. The judge told them to straighten it out and reinstate our mortgage. Guess what, no dice. We are due in court tomorrow for a bench trial. If I loose my house because of this I guarantee, a lawsuit will follow. I don't know if anyone else had this much trouble with Homecomings, but I would never recommend them to anyone ever.
