We had to sell our home and when we found a buyer homecomings financial said okay and then about two to three weeks before we moved and the closing of our house they sent us foreclosure letters and etc. We have not yet received a notice to move or anything, but they hired someone to lock us out and post signs. Today Oct 28, 2004 I get a phone call from our county courthouse and no such sell happened and now the finance company says "yes" you can sell your house since we lost the orginal sell. So we are suing them for the lost of sell and the damages done to our property and the loss of items in the house and etc for the trouble. If anyone wants to contact us please do and we have more to tell.

I too have problems with the fact they place Insurance on My Loan and I have Insurance, they Paid Taxes I pay

I too have problems with the fact they place Insurance on My Loan and I have Insurance, they Paid Taxes I pay, and they are trying to add money to my normal payments. I have just kept at them and will contnue to till I get the mess they have made cleared.

I want my credit restored by them, and I want my payments left alone, they put property inspection charge on my bill,I called them on it the answer to me was, it was a drive by to be sure Property in good shape.

They sent me a letter stating they can hire any one to do repairs and charge them to me if they see something needs repaired. I am not sure they can do that as they don't have the full value of the home financed. Checking with a lawyer about it.

Property Taxes

#7Consumer Comment

I purchased a home in 2003. My atty. did the title search on the home. The 2003 Taxes were paid, as a general rule I pay the property taxes separate from the mortgage that I have with Homecomings, that was in the contract. There was a title search on the home previous to my purchasing the home & there were not any liens. Homecomings paid 2100.00 in taxes that were paid in 2002 prior to the purchase and are attempting to charge me for property taxes that was paid.

My attorney said that Homecomings & the Gwinnett County, GA Tax Commissioner were in error. Nonetheless, this get worse Homecomings went behind my back and paid a parcel pmt for the 2004 taxes that were not due! I am being billed of the amount of 4100+ my mortagage of 13,009 monthly. I have attempted to contact no customer service dept. regarding my invoice and they are telling me that I owe for money that was paid prior to my purchasing the home. I have not problem paying the 2004 Taxes that Homecoming interfered and paid ( they breach the contract. The taxes were not due until 11-15-2004. I have contacted the closing attorney's office the investigated and said the Tax Commissioner's Office & Homecomings were in error.

I have made numerous attempts to contact the Tax Divsion of Homecomings to no avail. It is my intentions to get the Federal Trade Commissioner involved in this issue. Something need to done with Homecomings to retify this error. No one wants to that the responsibility of the error. Thank God I would not go with their Insurance. I am insured with State Farm Insurance Company. Homecomings does not have a cure as to what is going on.

I sent the receipt's for the delq Taxes that were paid in for the year of 2002. I sent the receipt for Taxes were paid at closing in 2003. I reinterate
I am going to get the FTC involved on this company.

'QUEST FOR JUSTICE' AGAINST HOMECOMINGS FINANCIAL!! CLASS ACTION SUIT!!

#7Consumer Suggestion

Wed, November 10, 2004

Hi, sorry for your problems, jeez, this company will stop at NOTHING--GRRRrrrrr!!

Homecomings Financial is in the 'business' of CHEATING people OUT of their homes based on everything I've seen written online and MY personal dealings with them. Scared me SO much that a couple of weeks ago, I posted my complaint here at RipOff and on a class action site. Well, in just a few days the law firm, Wolf Popper, out of NY responded and is pursuing a CLASS ACTION SUIT against Homecomings Financial !!

They are GREAT people at the law firm...they just SAVED MY HOME from foreclosure:()!! I spoke with the firm first on October 26th and as of last Friday they had handled my situation so that the sale of my home next Tuesday (16th) has been cancelled and Homecomings will NOW 'accept' my payments...So, take heart, there IS HELP out there, folks:))

If ANY of you reading this post have or have had problems in the past with Homecomings Financial...PLEASE post a personal Ripoff report, and then email or call the law firm ASAP!!

Our 'Quest For Justice' has begun!! A CLASS ACTION SUIT will bring JUSTICE for those of us ALREADY devastated, hurt, stressed, financially destroyed, etc. by this company's underhanded fraudulent practices AND save OTHER hardworking, honest people from having to TRY to deal with' Homecomings underhanded shenanigans..spread the word to anyone and everyone!!

Good luck

P.S. My original Ripoff Report is dated October 12, 2004 if you want to read the history of MY nightmare experience with Homecomings!!
