We were sold to homecomings financial within 10 days of us signing our mortgage.  Trouble started in October, 2003.  They said that we did not make a payment, but I have a cancelled check that says they did receive it.  I wrote the company asking for information on what the problem was, but only received a copy of our mortgage papers, which we already had.  They would not accept our payments and the following they filed foreclosure.  We hired a lawyer to file a Chapter 13.  They had us mail our payments to Kentucky, but then later they could not find them.

I had sent us postal money orders and they had to track them down for the money.  I found out later that they took that money and paid it all on the second mortgage, not paying anything to 1st mortgage.  We fought them for 4 1/2 years before they sold the mortgage to GMAC without letting us know.  I was in the middle of chemo for cancer.  we were evicted even though we were still in chapter 13.  They did not give us any paperwork on the sale and i was escorted off their property by the police as I tried to get paperwork from them. i have a tape on them denying me the paperwork.
