Homecomings Financial Ripoff charging late fees after they have floated checks say you owe when you don't Phoenix Arizona
We have been dealing with Homecomings since 2002, and out problems began in late 2002 when we were forced to file bankruptcy due to another matter. Our home has and had been our first and foremost obligation, but since then, they have constantly harrassed us for late fees and attorney fees, they have filed several false statements to the bankruptcy court, stating we had not paid, when we proved to them that we had, they backed off, but then a few months down the road, guess what, they do it again.
But as I've have found through reading all these posting, we are not alone in this. After I read several postings I went home and told my husband that our whole entire story was posted here, everything I have read that they have done to others they have done exactly that to us. So frustrating, but I'm not giving up. They backed down again yesterday, but we had to agree to pay the 3 payments we did get behind during the time we filed for bankruptcy, they had actually said we owed them 6, but proved we only owed them 3. So now we have to pay that and late fees, which they tried to charge us every month anyway. If you read your statement, late fees are not included until the 16th of the month, but they add them earlier. I e-mailed another poster who sent me some very useful information which I have passed along to my attorney and he will be working on that ASAP.
This company does not care about anyone or their illnesses, they actually use that information to make life miserable. In the middle of all this, I was diagnosed with cancer and went through chemotherapy, that helped somewhat, but now I'm taking radiation treatments. I truly believe that if these people had not caused me so much stress I would have had better results with just the chemotherapy, but that's my opinion. Don't let these people get the best of you, they are merely the middleman for a larger company, check out your paperwork. Thanks for reading this.
