I was hired by the 2 owners and they even wanted me to train their young event director. He is in

his 20's, I am in my 50"s. He wasn't happy. My Uncle passed away the night before I was to start, I let them

know right away. HR who wears many hats and is not qualified to be a HR manager told me take allthe

time you need. The event director decided to make my life miserable for me when i came back. There was a

accident really bad on I-85 and I was stuck in traffic trying to get to home office in Ga. He told me on the phone

you have to be here by noon or that's it. Traffic was at a stand still and i texted him, talked to him. Long story

short he harrassed me and let me go in a text. I had already turned down 2 other positions for this one. I asked

for a meeting with the owners who HR said would happen, it didn't. I asked her to speak with the Event Director

trying to get my job back, she asked me to drive one and a half hours to speak with them, I was thinking this

is a good start, when I got there she told me I was not getting the position back because Carlos adn while I 

was there he was interviewing 20 year old young women inexperienced i am sure. $40 in gas and they could have

told me over the phone, the owners will not meet wityh anyone, they do not run the company evidently, something

really shady. I am sure this was a case of age discrimination.

Future employees be careful, check all the reviews,

I learned alot about them after I was discrimated by. Customers, really do you want to work with a company that

if there is a probelm that you will never get to the owners, they don't want to deal with anyone. Over priced for

sure and you can buy their product if you hunt online, i saw it already for half price.

Hello Debora. Thank you for submitting a review on how you feel the situation surrounding your non-employement with HomeCraft occured. I wanted to take a minute and clear up several false and misrepresented statements that you left within your review so that everyone could be clear on how the situation really transpired. HomeCraft Gutter Protection does not discriminate in any way, shape, or form. When you were interviewed, your age and experience were a highlight to all involved in the interview process. Everyone at HomeCraft believed we could learn a lot from your expereince but you were not asked in anyway to "train" the Event Marketing Director who is more than qualified and dedicated to the company. While a job was offered to you, due to multiple times of having to push back your start date and never coming in to the office to complete employee paperwork, we were unable to move forward in the process to make you an employee of HomeCraft. We absolutely understand personal situations and told you to take the time you needed after your uncle's passing. However, that being said, there were several other occurances after that happened where you were given the opportunity to come to both the Greer, SC office as well as the Bethlehem, Ga Office to begin employement which you scheduled with us and then again at each time failed to arrive. At this point, HomeCraft had no other choice but to move forward in our search for someone to fill the position at hand who could be reliable. The Owners of the company are always willing to meet and discuss with any employee, customer, or anyone else who has an area of concern. You requested a meeting through myself, the HR Manager for the company, with the Owners and our Event Marketing Director. I continuosly worked on getting that meeting in place so that you could express what was wanted to the Owners and to the Head of the Department. Before the meeting could occur, you re-expressed your interest in still working for the company, but stated that regardless you would like a meeting. Due to wanting to get that meeting in a timely manner for you, I offered you a meeting with the department Heads, which included myself and Both of the Event Marketing Directors. You accepted. Again, wanting to make this a more convientent situation for you, we offered the meeting to occur at our Greer, SC location which is significantly closer to you than the Bethlehem, Ga location that we are all based out of. During this meeting, which you requested and were adamant about having, we allowed you to express your feelings and concerns as you requested. As for you speaking on our product, that is patented and can not be found anywhere else, it is the top of the line and excellent. We value our costumers and only want the best to be installed on their homes!
