On 6/23 I had reservations at the above hotel. When I checked in and went to the room, it was unacceptable. So I went back to the front desk and told them I was cancelling and would go elsewhere. The clerk said because I entered the room, that he would have to charge me. I told him that I had not touched anything and the room was as I found it. Ready to be leased. He said he had to charge me for one night. There wasn't anything I could do at the time and figured I would get my money back later.

Internet search for the parent corporation proved negative. I called them back to find out who owns the hotel and the lady said I would have to talk to the manager. But she would not give me his number, only his voice mail. I left a message but have not received a return call.

Well, he charged me for two nights, event though I never spent a night or used the room in any manner.

As far as I am concerned, they stole my money and violated the law. As I did not stay there, they still charged me and that must be illegal.

Confirmed in my account, after talking with the manager of Homegate, he did in fact refund the entire amount that was charged to me.

Considering the issue closed.

Around 3PM today, 6/26, finally was able to talk to the manager of the hotle. He said he would refund my total charges. Will update when that happens.

Shouldn't have had to go through all this.
