Not only was this NOT a professional cleaning service, my laptop, music gear, my digital camera, and my roommate's laptops were STOLEN the very next day. They sent out a NON-PROFESSIONAL cleaner with only 5 days on the job experience for an 8 hour job. What kind of company sends out a cleaner with 5 days experience without a vacuum, a mop, or any cleaning tools to wipe the walls with? She also used one of my roommates cooking pots as a mop bucket.
I let Homejoy know via email that my cleaner did NOT want to fulfill simple requests like clean around the edges of the moldings. When I pointed out that there was dirt on top of the shower, the cleaner didn't seem to care and asked, "So you want me to go back in there and clean?"
I asked the cleaner if she cleaned the shower and bathroom because I couldn't tell. I went to take a shower and there were spiderwebs and daddy-long-legs still in the shower. She said she couldn't clean it because she was "short." Seriously? She was about my height. She also said she cleaned the edges of the moldings but because the window was open that dust came back into the house and made them "black."
This cleaner obviously didn't care about doing a good job and figured she could make more money stealing our laptops, cameras, and doing shoddy work. She left 1.5 hours early even though it clearly states on all documentation that the cleaner will stay the entire time they are booked. A lot of the time she was on her cell phone. She spent a lot of time cleaning my roommate's room which didn't need that much attention... makes me wonder what she was doing really... taking photos of the place for when she or her friends came back to rob us.
Based upon the circumstances and opinions expressed by the police, Homejoy's cleaner and/or friends came back to rob us because I complained about the dirt.
