A couple of days ago, my wife was served a summons filed on behalf of one of her creditors for a judgement in excess of $14,000.00.

I then found out that she had gotten behind on her credit card and employed the "services" of this company. After I did some research, I discovered that there are several class action lawsuits filed against HFS.

In exchange for a fee (12%) of total debt, the company claims to negotiate settlements that will save 40 to 60%. I learned that hardly any of my wifes creditors had been contacted and that the 14K was actually less than 6K and the remaining amount was interest charges, penalties, late fees, attorneys fees and on and on and on, that had accrued after my wife had followed the instruction of not contacting her creditors, and being assured that everything was being negotiated on her behalf.

Today, I open up the mail and there is a letter from another company calling themselves Nationwide Support Services claiming that my wifes account is now being "serviced" by them and advising her to open up a bank account to deposit funds into for dispersment to her creditors.

She's being serviced all right! Personally and in person, as it says on the process servers paperwork. What a scam, in the span of a couple of years the credit card debt is nearly triple and now I've got to mortgage my house to pay these angry creditors.

My wife thought she was doing the right thing and actually believed these flagged wrapped con artists. She paid them over $5400.00 for having hers and now my credit completely destroyed.

Now, Homeland has conveniently turned my wifes alledged account over to another phony company. I'm sure I'll never get the $5400.00 back from these bums. I could sure use it to help pay these bills.

These people belong in prison.
