Since they took over our account about nine months ago they have made three errors, the last of which they mis-figured the escrow. My husband called for correction and they sent a letter on July 24 stating we owed a little over $2404.00 and to send it in, which we did. They sent out what appeared to be some sort of audit sheet in small print on July 30 with the refund check for the escrow error( they later called it a letter). My husband had already sent in what they stated we owed when we received the audit sheet and did not see that the amount on the audit sheet was $76.00 higher.

We began getting harassing calls during business hours and during a time when my husband was not feelling well. He hung up because he had already sent the payment they requested. Last week they called again, we re-read the audit "letter" and promptly sent them the difference. Last night(Sunday) we again received a harassing call at about 8 p.m.

We always have our payment in by the last date allowable as we are financial services people and understand the time value of money to us. We have not missed a payment. Last week, a smartaleck told us that we would have to be the ones to file a dispute at the credit bureaus even though it was their mistake.

We are getting complaint forms from our state attorney general's office and the state department of commerce/division of financial institutions. Anyone over the age of 60, why don't you age complaints through the states Elder Agency, Try California or North Carolina's state agencies as well. After finding out Wachovia backs this fraud, I'm glad we took them all the way through Florida, Ohio and Nevada in several of the state agencies to get back money on a credit card that we found was to only be used for buying their trash--I mean merchandise. Maybe if enough people inundated their state offices, these rip off artists would be put out of business.
