Homestart Inc AKA Michelle Curtis This company took me and my family in as a homeless shelter and kicked us out 3 days later after stealing over $400 from us. It has been almost 4 months and they will not give it back. They call CPS and the cops after putting us on the streets with not even a dime of the money we gave them. We cannot even talk to them or they say we threaten them so they will not have to give our money back. Roseville California
Me, my wife and 8 year old son had some hardship earlier this year. We stayed in a temporary shelter and then heard of HomeStart. They gave us a room on a Tuesday. We gave them over $400, our cell phones and any other monetary possessions we had. The next day we got our son enrolled in school, went to all their group meetings and listened to Michelle Curtis tell us to leave on numerous occasions because we needed a couple of phone numbers out of our phones to let our family know where we were at. We never got them. Thursday, before my son got out of his first day of school, Michelle Curtis had us out of the gate with our clothes and none of our money back. Not even enough to use the bus. I nstead we stayed with a lady next door and Michelle Curtis called CPS on us and called the cops saying that we threatened her because we were walking to get my son from school and she saw us as she was driving. We now are back on our feet but have not seen a dime of the money we gave them and it has been 4 months now. The cops said it was a lost cause so we have to now accept that. Its a shame to steal from the less fortunate and would not ask this on even one of my enemies.
