Hometowncandy.com, Hometowncandy.com, total ripoff, instantly charged my card, never sent candy, nonexistent customer service, never answers phone or emails. Ewing New Jersey

I was too trusting and ordered over $36.00 worth of candy from hometowncandy.com. Little did I know that, despite an instant email receipt of my order, I would never receive my order.

After a couple of weeks of waiting and checking my USPS tracking number, I decided to give Hometown Candy a call. However, all I ever got after repeated tries was an answering machine stating that they were busy helping others. Likewise, all I ever got from my emails were auto responders with the promise of a "custom response."

I then called the number that appeared on my credit card and, lo and behold, got connected with another answering machine. Of course, Hometown Candy never returned any of my phone calls or emails.

If I had checked the BBB before ordering, I would have seen that Hometown Candy had an unsatisfactory rating for ripping off other customers. I have now filed a dispute with my credit card company. Please, don't get taken in and ripped off by this "company."
