Borwsing on the inernet for sites that provide current home valuie reports and after checking Zillow and Purplebricks, I came across  Homevalue.us.org and deided to try them out as well. I went through the process of filing out the information requested, all I saw at the time of processing payment was a notification for a $1,00 proecssing fee to which I agreed and provided credit card for charge to be processed,

A user name and password were created so I could access the report online. I immediately tried to log in to my account but could not access it after multiple times of entering my user name and password, I immediately contacted their customer service Agent and reported the situation, he quickly responded and provided a new web page link and new password  I could log in with, I tried that but no luck, all that happened was a new page popped up with multiple other links to different Home value report service pages, and a note at the right top corner informing that web domain is for sale.

This set a red flag to me  and I went to the Rip-off page and started checking this company, what I found was not positive at all and immediately called my Bank to report the transaction I had just made and requested for them to stop it and cancell it. The Bank's Fraud department lady who I got connected to, immediately checked the most recent activity, and detected a charge for $18,95 was curently being processed by Homevalue.us.org. which was way differnt than the $1.00 charge that was disclosed during the purchase of the report I requested. The lady informed me since the transaction was already in progress, she could not stop it or cancell it, but as soon as it was posted aginst my account they will dispute the charge, she recommended I contacted the mechant and demand they reverse and credit the charge, which I immediately did,

Pretty quick I received a text message  from cusotrmer service at Homevalue.us.org confirming the order had been cancelled and right after a second message informing credit had been susccesfuly issued and no further charges would be incurred. I will be calling my Bank right now and monitoring my account activity to make sure in fact credit has been issued and regularly checking to make sure no further charges are made.

If this proves to be the case as I certainly hope it will, I will give credit to this company at leats for taking responsibility of recognizing and corecting this method of opetration.

Lesson learned, Make sure to check integrity an legitimacy of all companies you may be conduting business with BEFORE you make any purchases, which I should have done in the first place!
