I was having difficulty understanding the concepts in one of my classes, after some google searching, I came across the Homework Lance website, which purports itself as a tutoring site:

"We are a group of tutors WITH PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN ONLINE TUTORING,who were working on other website  for past 4 years
HAVING developed these courses after EXTENSIVE research, Homeworklance IS A one stop shop for all your  courses.

We personally know how hard some homework can be! We created this site to help students that needed extra help without the high cost of tutoring." HomeworkLance website, "Abous Us" section.

They portray themselves as a highly-reliable site, which offers in-depth tutoring for classes.

After purchasing the tutoring materials for the class in question ($70), I was surprised to find there was NO tutoring materials at all, but instead simply the worksheets (taken straight from the course materials), filled in with answers.  To make matters worse, a quick check of the answers they provided versus the correct answers from the school answer keys - over NINETY PERCENT (18/20 incorrect answers on the first worksheet - others were just as bad) of the answers were incorrect.

When I e-mailed Homework Lance about this situation, I was informed that their No-Refund policy states in it that "incorrect answers are not a valid reason for a refund".

I had to dispute the payment with PayPal to see any results.

This company (owned and operated by 1 individual - Daniel T Brown) in Illinois, is a complete scam company.  He has taken the free worksheets that all students are provided with, randomly filled out the answers, and then sold them online for a profit.  When the customer comes back unsatisfied with the lack of tutoring materials, or correct answers, we are pointed to the no refund policy, and promplty pushed out the door.

Some incorrect answers are SO blaringly wrong, it is obvious they were randomly generated.  For example, one question says in the instructions to choose two answers, but only one answer is chosen on the worksheet.

For a site that offers online "tutoring", no tutoring was provided, just an answer key, which was randomly filled out.  Those looking to actually learn will find no assistance here, and those looking to buy an answer key will be sadly disappointed, as even for use as an answer key, this site provides no help - You're better off answering "C" to everything... at least that would be 25% correct on average.
