I read in the paper there is a recall for 1999 Honda Accords, a faulty electrical system ignition switch. I called my dealer was told they couldn't do anything without a letter from Honda. I called Honda & they checked my VIN# sd my car was one of them affected. Said I had to wait for the letter.

Today I called again & sd I want the letter since I have a very sick child & must travel to Dr's etc & don't want to get stuck in a remote area w/him or have an accident, sd it was very important.

They could care less, now they said they don't send out the letters DMV does probably in Sept, gave me their #. I called them they sd it's not true, Honda sends the letters out unless they won't then they step in. I told the woman if anything happens to the boy because of this Honda would be sued, she could care less. She even said well, it might not happen! I can't believe they have this kind of an attitude!

Honda called me & told me to bring my car to the dealer to be fixed. The dealer kept saying I needed a letter from Honda to fix the recall, Honda said not true. I will say the woman I dealt with tried very hard & I finally got the car fixed.
