Complaint Review: Hoodia 66

I ordered hoodia in hopes that it would help with weight loss. My order was placed on Feb 25 2006 and my card was charged 5.95 for the 14 day free trial.After 3 phone calls to a number that no longer works, leaving messages and no response.I thoought that maybe this was a scam.

I finally received my (free) trial on March 20th 2006. On March 15th my card was charged 99.90 by Hoodia for 2 more bottles and I still had'nt received the free trial. On March 22nd I received my 2 bottles that were charged on March 15th. I had tried the sample for 1 day before I received my product.

After calling their customer service number and was told that I should have read the terms and conditions. I called back and asked whar recourse I had if the product di not work and was told that after taking the trial product that if I was not satisfied I could shipthe product back and would receive a refund.

We'll see what happens, but I would recommend reading the terms and conditions on any website before ordering anything. Most legitimate sites will offer guarentees and ways to process refunds.
