If you are having trouble cancelling with Hootsuite, I advise you to contact your credit card company, dispute past unauthorized charges and have the card company block Hootsuite from further use of your credit card account.

As have other complainants on here, I discovered just how hard it was to cancel my Hootsuite account.  The company makes you go through layers of detective work just to find the cancellation mechanism.  I finally found it last December and cancelled my account.  I received an e-mail from the company saying that my account was terminated immediately and, as part of the cancellation, my credit card information would be expunged from their records.  I thought that was the end of it.

After receiving this termination notice, my credit card account was charged without authorization over the following four months.  I have disputed the charges with American Express and two have already been credited to me, with the other two still pending.  I have also had to ask Amex to block Hootsuite from accessing my credit card account over the next four years, which, believe me, will be no sacrifice.

Unless you want to join me in this quagmire, I advise everyone who reads this to bypass Hootsuite and find another social media management vendor.  There are plenty of others out there.  Plus, the services that Hootsuite does offer aren't all that great.
