I purchased a Boxer puppy in August, 2014. When we arrived at the home, we found no other dogs, only the one we were purchasing playing with the seller's children on the front lawn. By January, 2015, when we went in to get her spayed, we were referred to a cardiologist. After testing, she was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and a stenosis. Her spaying (anesthetic wise)had to be carefully planned and our vet even suggested that we possibly may not want to go through the the surgery. I immediately informed Lori Hoover because the heart condition was obviously genetic. She replied with "wow, we have never had a problem with this line and for her to get it so quick is so shocking". Period. No other follow up. No stating that she would inform other owners of litter mates. No concern at all. Our puppy was given a life expectancy of 3-5 years with or without surgery and also has another rare auto-immune disorder regarding losing toe nails at an alarming rate. I wish I had known about these "sellers" that aren't actually breeding at all. Do not acquire your new family member from these people!

Marcia Kistler your review is hardly a fair one.  The post of our email that you sent is the last that I heard from you.  True it is shocking that after 6 months your pup developed a heart murmur.  You never asked for anythig or even sent copies of your vets conclusion or diagnosis that you are claiming.  You sent some pictures and stated your pup has a heart murmur.  Yes I stated it was shocking since the parents are in good health with no issues but it is not impossible and would have worked with you if you had desired.  I never stated I would not consider doing anything or not once was I rude or uncooperative.  I simply just didnt get a response back from you stating how you wish to procede.

The right thing to have done was to send your vets information so my vet could take a look at the results and then try to come to some resolution.  You should have continued the conversation if you expected me to help resolve it.  Instead you emailed with a small brief statement about what was going on and after i responded, I never heard from you again, then a year and half later write not one but two reports on this forum stating I did not do anything about this situation.  I would have needed more info to go on besides a brief email.
