Complaint Review: hope 4 home

I was in a rough spot, my wife had lost her job and we were falling behind on our mortgage payments. That's when I was contacted by Hope for Home about a loan modification. Boy was that the biggest mistake of my life that i will forever regret. This so called loan modification company told may they could help significantlly reduce my payments. They assured me that I would not lose my home.

So I let them to convince me to let them "work for me" to keep my home and reduce my mortgage payments. They had me sign an agreement told me there was no cost to me and we continued. I was then directed to send in a hardship letter, bank statements, work paystubs and so on. They also had a cease and dissist order between me and my mortgage company, I was told to not contact them and the mortgage company was not to contact me. I asked if had any money could I send it to the mortgage company as was told no then it would not look like a hardship and would delay my case, don't send them nothing.

This went on for a few months, checking on the status I was always told to send in bank statements and work paystubs and it is in the "review"process. They then had me send them $1200.00 and I was told this was for a so called "trust account" to show the mortgage company i was serious about wanting to pay the mortgage. Here is the kicker, instead of this money being sent to the mortgage company, I was told to send to Wells Fargo and they provided an account #. Once again assuring my that I would not lose my home.

Months went by emails from them got fewer and fewer, I started getting foreclosure letters in the mail, i contacted them and was told that this was just procedures that the mortgage company has to follow, protocol if you will. Once again assuring my I would not lose my home. Send in bank statements and so forth it is in the review process not to worry.This went on for a few more months.

After not hearing from them in quite some time, they then sent me an email stating that my contract was up and for them to "continue their services" I would need to start paying $100.00 a month until the issue was resolved. I was pretty upset by now and pretty much had a feeling something wasn't right. I did not sign the forms and return them. I pretty much sent them some pretty nasty emails in regards of how they had screwed me over. 

Then the day happened when I recieved a letter in the mail from an Attorney stating that my house was going up for auction on March 29 2016, this devastated me and my wife. This company did nothing for us What so ever, and the one thing they assured wasn't going to happen is now happening. We are losing our home and our only option is to file bankruptcy. What lowlifes these people are. To prey on people when they are so vunerable is so wrong. 

I sent a complaint to the BBB and of course no response from them, I then sent them another nasty email asking why they can't even answer to the complaint and demanding my money back. They just called me the other day on Feb. 19th stating that my file was still active and what do I remember.I was so freaking hot, I said is this a f***ing joke are you serious the last thing that was sent to me was an email stating that my contract was up and for me to start paying for their services now my house is up for auction next month and I want my money back, the guy simply hung up the phone. I WILL NEVER TRUST ANY COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!!
