Hope Now Modification, LLC. representatives informed me that they are employed by and work in an office run by PMA Lending LLC. I was informed that they were part of a government alliance which was here to help homeowners save their homes through a loan modification. They requested and I made an $1800 payment which I was told would be put in escrow for litigation expenses. I was also informed that this payment was fully refundable unless an agreement was made between the mortgage company and I.

My payments were made in January, it is now into April and my mortgage company has yet to receive the first document from Hope Now Mod. and my home is now in foreclosure and the sale date will be set next week (4/7/09). Now I find out that the research I preformed before sending any money was actually on a real non-profit organization called Hope Now Alliance. This is a group of scam artists on both sides, PMA Lending and Hope Now Mod. When I called their office the phones were either answered "PMA Lending" or "Hope Now".

PMA Lending's address is also on the top of the bogus "working agreement" that I filled out for Hope Now Mod. I've made several calls to PMA Lending's office with no response. I can only talk to an operator named Irma who can do nothing more than promise that Jason Arntz from Hope Now or Jahn Beckler from PMA Lending will return my call....they haven't yet....after weeks of calling. These people have proven to capitalize on the hardship of hardworking American homeowners.

HOPE NOW MODIFICATION UNDER INVESTIGATION BY NEW JERSEY ATTORNEY GENERAL

#4Consumer Comment

Tue, April 07, 2009

From announcement on March 16th

In the other two lawsuits, two unrelated companies in South Jersey Hope Now Financial Services Corp. of Cherry Hill and New Hope Modifications of Bellmawr are charged with selling loan modification services that never materialized, and with creating the false impression they were affiliated with a non-profit foreclosure prevention organization known as the Hope Now Alliance. Among other services, the Hope Now Alliance offers free credit counseling with federally-approved counselors.

As part of the actions, Milgram said, the state has asked the court to shut down a Web site operated by Hope Now Financial. Since at least November 2008, Hope Now Financial has advertised loan modification services through a Web site at www.hopenowmod.com.

By posting a video, news articles and links to federal government press releases, the profit-seeking Hope Now Financial has falsely suggested an affiliation with the non-profit Hope Now Alliance, Milgram said. In fact, Milgram noted, there is no connection. Moreover, Hope Now Financial is accused in the state's lawsuit with charging significant fees for loan modification services that were never delivered.

To date, 23 consumers living in New Jersey and out of state have filed complaints against Hope Now Financial with either the Division of Consumer Affairs or the Better Business Bureau. The total amount of money paid by those victims to Hope Now Financial exceeds $29,000.

I was recently contacted by Jason Arntz on behalf of PMA Lending and Jahn Beckler. He informed me to the details of PMA Lending and Hope Now Modifications relationship. He has also directed me to the people in Hope Now Financial who are now promising me a full refund. I think PMA Lending is a company of good ethics and has employed people of good moral.
