When I returned home from work on 7/5, I received a message on my voicemail that I had was selected in a drawing and won one of the five prizes; given this time sensitive matter to please contact the toll free number promptly. Similar to the other posts, I was given a claim number and was to attend an award ceremony where I was going to win one of the top five prizes. It was communicated that this was not a scam or timeshare promotion.

My husband I made arrangements to attend the following night to find that it was a complete scam. As soon as we sat down to meet with someone I inquired on the awards ceremony and they informed us that many of the telemarketer's use various tactics/lies to get people to attend. We listened for a 90 minute sales presentation about Horizon being the largest travel agency and sharing the benefits to there members.... fee's ranging from 8,995 to 2,995. The lowest package offered was for those couples that divorced/separated and I could then buy the package for a discounted cost.

I am in the process of email the better business bureau to give them the phone number and names of both the telemarketer's and those I met with at Horizon.

This is a complete scam - the end result is that we did get a scratch ticket for a 3/2night prize however it required $100.00 deposit. Again, after reading the other posts I understand that this money would not be returned.

I hope that after reading this anyone would not give this any consideration!
