Complaint Review: Hornbuckle Construction - Clayton Hornbuckle

Don't be taken in by Clayton Hornbuckle's good ole' boy personia. He's clever in the way he gets you to trust him. From the blood shot eyes from working 7 days a week without sleep. He will assure you he has an entire crew waiting to get to work for you. But alas all the words amount to noise that will keep you from sleeping at night.

Our 1902 home was purchased and we entrusted Clayton Hornbuckle with the remodel. Clayton took position of over $15,000.00 October 9, 2006, 1/2 the money ear marked for the job, the was scheduled to be complete by 10/29/06. It is now 12/15/06 and the only work done on the house, which wasn't even started until the completion date had past, November 2, 2006, is leveling on the outter skirts of the house. It's now saging in the center and the front porch removed. In the two plus months since this began I have not seen Clayton once. His one worker and his two assistance have put in about 30 hours labor. I have attempted to call Clayton Hornbuckle numberous time, but he never picked up or called me back. Last week I finally got him to answer by calling from another number. He HUNG UP immediately after telling me he didn't like my tone.

I urge others seeking to have any work done on there home. DO NOT USE Hornbuckle Construction or Clayton Hornbuckle Do it yourself you couldn't do worse.
Just to give others who might be seeking to move to this area, Clayton ownes several properties, that are currently for sale. Don't encourage a person like this by purchasing anything he has to sell.
