Earlier this year I consigned Horsein' Around to transport a 2-year-old Morgan from Minnesota to Tennessee. I paid a $350 deposit. A week went by and I was informed that the truck had mechanical problems that had to be taken care of before my filly could be picked up. Two weeks went by, and no more answers to my phone calls or e-mails. I e-mailed Horsein' Around that its services were no longer needed and that I expected to receive my deposit back. No word ... never another word. At one point the phone was out of order. Then the voice mail was turned off. I continue to e-mail and call periodically, to no avail. While I recently pitched the copy of the contract, I have retained all of the e-mails from the one-way correspondence. "Unconscionable" is the most civilized word I can think of to describe Deanna Rubio and Horsein' Around.
