The CEO of Host Depot or HostDepot.com, Mark Erskine, is a spineless coward who has never returned my phone calls and messages regarding a billing descrepancy with me, a former Web Hosting Re-Seller.

A Re-Seller is someone who helps a Web Hosting company grow by reselling hosting plans to people and becoming a 'middle man'.

I became a reseller for the company back in 2002 and had about 5 accounts with HostDepot.com. As years went by the company lied about their "24/Hour" support. I grew very tired of the constant incompetency of the people in this company.

RIP OFF: I had contacted, Charmagne, a female Customer Service Manager and clarified to her that I no longer wish to do any further business with this company. The company tried to make me pay for 1 entire year of hosting when the renewel time came but I told them I would PRO RATE the 20 days of hosting and that should suffice for their services since I had made arrangements to transfer the site from Host Depot or HostDepot.com to a far better company.

They charged me $40 for the PRO RATED term of my account (22 days of hosting) and then they released my domain name.

Charmagne reported me to CFO FINANCIAL, a collections agency, and when I called back to HostDepot to resolve the problem, she hung up the phone on me. I spoke with the VP of Sales, Jeff, next.

Complete idiot. It seems that no employee of this company is allowed to connect the calls to the CEO, MARK ERSKINE. However, I was able to connect to his Voice Mail on my own on two occasions. Mr. ERKSINE, never returned my phone calls and continues to be a spineless, coward who seems to think it is okay for a company to completely disregard a now former client.

I am tired of incompetent people ruining other people's credit. This company is horrible. They are liars, crass, and need to go to Manner School. This is my story. I don't want any other Florida companies or resellers to go through what I went through. As for people like MARK ERSKINE, when will you become responsible and begin to manage your company with competence? What a joke you are and what a disgrace you are to the IT world.

Mo Montana doesn't pay his dues

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Dear Mo Montana,

I looked up your account after having been disgusted by the report you filed about myself and my company. I noticed on your annual hosting account for solace-mountain.com, which was billed for 12 months at a time, that you cancelled it on 8/29/2006. The account was charged for the 12 months hosting on 8/1/2006. It is our policy, which you claimed to have read when you ordered, to bill for the service at the start date of the service unless you cancel the service prior to the start date. We even send out renewal notifications to our customers reminding them of this at 30 and 15 days prior to the renewal date!!

Here is an excerpt of our payment policy that you agreed to...

"All charges for Services must be paid in advance according to the then current price applicable to the Services. .... You agree to pay to Host Depot the amount indicated in each invoice by the due date reflected on the invoice. .... In addition, your failure to fully pay any fees and taxes within ten (10) days after the applicable due date will be deemed a material breach of this Agreement, justifying Host Depot's suspension of its performance of the Services and/or termination of this Agreement. You are responsible for any fees associated with reinstated of Services. Any such termination would not relieve you from paying past due fees plus interest. In the event of collection enforcement, you will be liable for any costs associated with such collection, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees, court costs and collection agency fees."

You failed to pay the balance so your account went to collections. It is no fault on my part nor my company's part nor any employee of my company that you did not keep your end of the deal you made with us. Talk about spineless? You need to pay your obligations sir!

Sincerely,
Mark Erskine
President & CEO
