Complaint Review: Host Monster - Blue Host

Host Monter / Blue Host will steal your money! Tried to get a refund when they are wrong, it still will not happen.

My business canceled horrible hosting service from HostMonster.com over four (4) years ago. Their "deicated" server was completely useless and misleading. You do not have full admin rights. Still share it with others. Can not set up multiple website with a single ecommerce platform, etc.

Two years ago they auto charged our credit card for hosting service canceled. My business did not catch that charge because the way it comes up on your statement is misleading. So we were out $300 on that. Just last week we caugh another $300 charge for hosting service. Luckly we caught it this time.

We called to get them to stop and requested a full refund of the money in full. It was an rediculus ordeal! They would not allow us to request a refund over the phone. Telling us to login to our account which we have not used in over four years. Since we have not used their service in years we could not simplily do that. We did a password request which was sent to an AOL email we closed over 5 years ago.

Called them back up and they still would not do the refund or close the account. Made us fax over a government photo id to get the email changed so we could log back in to the account.

Finally we were able to get in. Closed the account. Requested full refund. Looked up the refund issued (two weeks later) and it is not for the full amount. They are refusing to do the right thing and refund us in full for a service we did not use and do not want.

To make a long story short. Save yourself from being ripped off. There hosting service is horrible and their service is even worse!
