I have booked a hostel (Lnnrot Hostel, Helsinki) via this company. However, on the arrival (30 december 2009), I found that the hostel no longer exists since january or february 2009.
New house owners at the Helsinki address have told me that they often see other people who find themselves out on the cold streets of Helsinki due to this corrupt practice of Hostelbookers. The owner told me that he has informed Hostelbookers about this situation, but obviously, they just ignore and collect money.
I did not cancel, and they tell me on their "help" section that i will never see my deposit. I have sent them an email and a web-form explaining their fault and demanding the full reimbursement at least. Depending on the results I may go and file a police report, or else.
