CAUTION: THEFT/FRAUDULENT CHARGES... I have used Hostonce.com only once, in 2002, for domain support (and yes, it was only $6 and the support was non-existent - I guess to be expected, to get what you paid for). That is fine and I am not even griping about their laughable services. I've let it go since it was a one-time deal after all. Never heard from them since.

However - NOW (July 2003), almost a year later, guess what??? There is a $64 charge to the card I used in 2002, to pay that one-time 6$ fee... Hostonce.com just went ahead and charged me for the services never provided. Mistake? How??? I have NOT EVER used them since 2002, nor have I ever seen any service they provide for $64. Surely I called my bank and closed card/disputed charges. Needless to say, there is no info to contact Hostonce.com in regards to this charge (phone number, etc).

I am disputing and they are NOT getting any free money from ME. This is bogus. What a scam.

Hey, if you can't get any new business, why not just steal money from any accounts you can get your hands on?..

Good for you for disputing this charge! Consumers need to fight back against this scam. Once they have your number, seems like all sorts of odd little things start popping up on CC bills....

Most major credit cards offer a "one-time" use number that is good for one transaction only. It is billed on and tied to your account, but can never be used again. Even should the company try again, it will be declined. Wonderful self-defense against this type of abuse!

Anyone buying through the 'Net or one of those wonderful little TV commercials should check to see if your credit card issuer offers this service.

Never give anyone your banking information, either! Once they have your acct and routing numbers, all manner of things can happen!

Good luck in this endeavor.
