In searching for a book on Yahoo, I ran across this website Hotbooksale.com which had a good price on th title I was searching for. I ordered the book but did not see any information on a membership. The order was placed on 3/8/12.
As of this writing, (3/17/12) I have yet to receive the book . Upon checking my credit card, I found not only the charge for the book but also an extra $1.00 charge and then a 19.95 charge.
When I contacted the website, I received an email back stating that when I ordered the book I agreed to a monthly membership of 19.95. I did not see anything on the order I placed stating this was a membership.
I would not have placed the order if I had known this as I do not join memberships such as this. Personally I feel it is a SCAM. After researching the website I found there were others who have had the same unpleasant experience with this company. I notified my credit card company to protest these extra charges.
