Complaint Review: hotel.com

hotel.com Sold us a bill of goods we wanted a suite with living room they told us it was found out it was not Call the hotel they said they could not change the room but had what we wanted if hotels .com would make change said this is where we get greedy dont care what we said when we took your money it is to late we will have to charge you again to get room you asked for in the first place Internet

 Dear freinds:

Dont book hotel with hotel.com. My family had a special event. Our son is in bootcamp had his first 48 hr pass. He asked us to come see him .We have a large family so we called hotels.com talked with them about an hour we need a suite with kitchen and a living room .We were to;d what a great deal they had for us we get evrthing we wanted you need to perpay so we did. I travel for work hey i'm near there called hotel check on rooms. The lovely lady says we have regular room not even a couch in the room. Wait you need to call hotel.com we have the suite you want call hotels.com tell them we talked get them to change it .Sound simple so i call them  oh I'm sorry we cant do that your time to alter is over. Wait we can get you the room you wanted in the first place but we need more money for it.I explained wait we spent extra time making sure what we needed that why we called you instead of doing it online this is your fault. You cant trust this site they want to book what ever they can. To hell with what you realy need we make more money this way.Company like this is why people dont travel.Tell me this is honarable practice. There is no way they would let you treat them this way ohh you cant they get there money first

It took you an hour to book one room for one weekend? That is, with all due respect, ridiculous. Did you not confirm your accomodations? And, why did you use a 3rd party vendor to make the reservation? You should always book direct. You brought the middle man into the equation and now the hotel has to not only deal with your comlaint but also pay hotels.com a COMMISSION for your reservation. Hotels.com can not know the properties-- they just process your reservation like a factory mill, bill you and move on. If you care about what you are getting take the extra 2 seconds to look up the hotel and book directly with someone standing in the hotel that you can then speak with.
