I am a recent victim of identity theft. On September 10th at 10am a front desk employee of the Hotel Occidental, located at 410 Elm St. San Diego, Ca 92101, used my credit card information, billing address and identity to make online purchases in the amount of $359.59 without my consent. I was a guest of this hotel and this is where the individual obtained my information. I have emailed proof of these documents that I sent to the hotel to confirm the reservation as well as proof of the transaction. The goods were going to a front desk employee Amalia (Maly) at the Hotel Occidental address. I have filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department, the FTC, City and State Attorney, BBB, Secretary of State and a few other entities. They need to be investigated and SHUT DOWN!!  I have attempted to speak with the manager Jeremy of this hotel and he was very rude, abrasive, unprofessional and hung up the phone in mid conversation. Once the investigation is complete, I will be pressing charges against the individual and the hotel. BEWARE!! They may be doing this to other guests.

Hello. We apologize for what may have taken place here at our beautiful hotel. This is certainly not the perception that we'd like to portray. As we have been saying from the beginning of this ordeal, we fully support you in finding out what occurred, and we have been actively investigating this situation, and will be taking necessary actions, when this incident is investigated and found to be true. We are asking you, again, please contact us with any information re this situation. We can't take any actions without your support and proof of what allegedly occurred. We have been trying to reach you for a week now. We'd like to get to the bottom of this, but we have nothing to go on, other that a phone call all alleging the use of your information. We are waiting to help you...

To follow up on this report, An employee accused of this action was released from the company, even though we received no communication from the accuser.
