Hotels.com censoring negative reviews, Internet
I made several reservations back in August through Hotels.com
After my stay I received an email for each reservation inviting me to submit a review. I am 100% sure that Hotels.com censors negative reviews because my positive reviews showed up immediately, the negative ones were never published. When I called Hotels.com I was told to send them an email. I never received an answer to my question why my negative review was not showing up. At the same time I repeated to submit my review (a total of 3 times) but until today it is not shown.
The reviews that I was able to see when I booked this hotel were extremely positive and stated something that was actually not true: "Hotel is conveniently located at the (Manila) airport... cab charges around 150 Pesos" The reality was that the first 2 cab drivers refused to take me there because they did not know this (slum) area. the 3rd driver finally took me there but only for a flat rate of 300 pesos without turning his meter on. He told me that he had never heard about this place in his 20 years of being a cab driver in Manila. Pictures that are still shown on Hotels.com website for the "Isabelle Garden Hotel and Suites" were either manipulated with Photoshop or they were taken years ago. One picture showing green lawn in front of the hotel. the reality was a dark, muddy parking lot with an abandoned construction site with rusty steel (you had to walk through this horrible place in order to get to the entrance). Another picture showed the room and it appeared a lot larger than in reality because of a large mirror hanging on the wall. I stayed in two different rooms and they did not have any mirrors so it appears as if the mirror was intentionally used for deceptive purposes.
This place was located within a horrible slum, no restaurants around and the hotel did not offer any food. What was included complimentary with the booking were cockroaches that were attracted by the garbage that was stacked everywhere in the hallways. None of the reports that are posted for this hotel would mention any of these things, when you look at the reviews it almost sounds like a description of the Hollywood Hilton.
