I booked with hotels.com in june 2009 to stay at thalassa apartments in spain.  i received a phone call on friday 18th september 2009 at 0730 gmt.  to say that i had to change my apartments because there was a problem with my booking.  i told them to email me with a contact phone number.  the number they emailed first time was non existent.  i eventually managed to contact them and told them i did not want to change my booking even though they offerred a better class upgrade.  they are hopefully going to refund my payment in full, plus a 100 dollar voucher towards any future bookings.  i have privately booked the apartments i originally wanted, there is an availability for me.  there is definitely some sort of scam going on here, but i am not sure what.  ian travel services france seems to be part of hotels.com.
