During the week of December 25 several family members decided to go to New Orleans for the French Quarter Festival in April. After lots of searching on the Internet we contacted Hotels.com to book the hotel we chose. We wanted 3 rooms with two double full or queen sized beds in each. We gave credit card number to p[ay up front.

Then I decided to contact the hotel directly just to make sure we were booked. It turned out we were not. when I got back to Hotels.com and confronted them it turned out the price they quoted and we paid was for rooms without 2 beds. They said they could not give us what we wanted at that price but we would be charged a 20 dollar cancellation fee for each credit card used. (3) Lots of phone calls later we were assured that everything was cancelled without a fee.

Now the charges are showing on our credit cards. In the meantime we called the hotel (Le Pavvilion)direct and have our reservations in place without paying up front. They were totallt courteous
