hotelsplusportal Guaranteed suite with whirlpool tub and smoking internet

I went to Best Western site to inquire about a room with whirlpool tub and smoking. the reservation number I called was to Hotelplusportal. I asked the agent if the room had these amenities and he said yes they do. He never said that the room would have what I want, not that it would be a special request. I arrived to the hotel a day early and was told that the room was non-smoking and they do not have this room in smoking and they offered to downgrade me...So, I kept the room and contacted hotelsplus with my issues, they did check surrounding hotels to try to find what I needed but did not find anything.

My early arrival I paid $134.99(including taxes) for the same room that I made reservations with through hotelsplus; hotelsplus has charged me $150 and change a night (including taxes) and they are trying to tell me that I am getting a better deal with them? Do the math does that sound right? Hotelsplus guaranteed me that this was a smoking room with a whirlpool tub. I have a nonsmoking room with a whirlpool tub. They have made no effort to fix or compensate for their misinformation.

They manager I spoke with said that she had not boss and wouldn't let me speak to anyone else however I hopefully have some other manager that is "suppose' to call. What truly upsets me is that I have worked many many years in customer service - you do not tell someone something that you can not guarantee because it is a liability, period. And I learned that you have to make your customer happy...And, that the Manager I spoke with had the I don't care tone in her voice...I know this tone, I have been in the business too long. I am one measly person but I will put this out there in cyber world.
