Complaint Review: Hottperfume

Shipping took a while for our product to arrive, but that was not a big deal.

What was a big deal was the totally FAKE bottle and terrible smelling product.

My wife ordered me Carolina Herrera's 212 for Men, which I have worn for about 10 years.

As soon as I opened the shipping box, I knew I was about to be disappointed.

The product box was the wrong color.  The bottle "looked" about the same, at first glance, except the blue lettering was crackled and off-center.  At first I thought we got a deal because the bottle was damaged, which I could have been okay with.  However, taking the top off the bottle, I noticed it didn't feel right.  That is because an authentic bottle has a magnet in it.  This FAKE bottle did not.  I tried putting the authentic top on the FAKE bottle and found that the magnet couldn't even hold on to the bottle... wrong material.  Just for fun, the FAKE top then fell apart in my hand!  Literally, the inside of the top fell out and crumbled into three pieces in my hand.

Still... I was not going to be upset by crummy packaging.  In retrospect, this was my biggest mistake, I sprayed myself with "212 for Men".  Opps.  Talk about a headache.  I don't know what is in that bottle, but it's definitely NOT 212 for Men!  I am not joking when I tell you I threw my t-shirt in the trash, opened the windows (February 2014 in Chicago, about ZERO degrees outside), and took a shower.  The stench followed me for a few hours after showering.  I must have had it in my nose or something...

That was the end of hoping this was going to turn out alright.  I immediately sent an email to Hottperfume and requested a refund:

"Hello, 
We have received our order.
However, we are NOT pleased with the quality of this product.
The bottle is clearly FAKE.  Worse yet, the scent is not even close to the actual product we ordered.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue, as soon as possible.

Thank you."

The response:

"If you are not happy with your purchase it can be returned for a refund to ..

My response:

"Hello, 
We will return our order in the same box that which it was shipped to us.
However, could you please send us a pre-paid shipping label. 
Thank you"

So far???  Pound sand.  Nothing, which leads me to think this is normal business practice for them.  How many people get bullied or fed up and just accept that they got suckered into saving a little bit of money?  Not this guy.  I’m charging back the purchase. 

DO NOT get suckered by these guys.  They are selling FAKE garbage.
