Complaint Review: Hotwire.com Allianze global travel insurance

 On March 10th of 2016 I booked a hotel through hotwire.com for an out-of-town job interview. The job interview was canceled so I called Hotwire to cancel my room they said they would give me no refund and I had to call the travel insurance company sell their travel insurance through. When I called the company, Allianze travel insurance, they told me I could not get a refund unless it was some kind of medical emergency which I had to have documentation for.

They claim all of that was sent to me in email after I purchased the insurance! Well I never got this email and it doesn't matter if it was after the fact. The person I spoke to could barely speak English as was the situation with the person from Hotwire. They don't explain approved situations on the website, a complete and utter rip-off I am unemployed and cannot afford to lose the money. Stay away from Hotwire and certainly don't buy their worthless travel cancellation insurance.
