Hotwire.com hotwire sales Not worth the risk booking hotels with Hotwire san francisco California Internet
We booked a hotel in Tokyo with Hotwire. The description said hotel was worth $197 a night, had a pool and was in the Shinjuku area. Once we got the hotel info, we found it was far inferior - lower rated, no pool, available everywhere on internet for $108 a night and in the neighboring red light district! They would not change or refund hotel - even though we were travelling with children. They advertise it as one thing and then give you something else - and you have no recourse. We spoke to several managers and they all said too bad -you agreed to the terms. Not only do you not save money, but you get hotels that can't find patrons because they are inferior. Hotwire works for the hotels -not the consumers - to dump unwanted stock. You are far better off booking where you know what you are getting and have more favorable terms if you need to change or cancel. I will NEVER deal with Hotwire again!
