Complaint Review: Hotwire

Hotwire I booked a car rental through Hotwire.com. I decided I was going to take my own personal vehicle and called Hotwire an hour after I booked the reservations for the car. The lady on the other end asked me my reason and I told her I decided to take my own personal vehicle, she stated indirectly, that wasn't a good reason and they couldn't cancel the reservations. I went online and booked a car rental throgh HOTWIRE.com, I decide to take my own personal vehicle after the reservations were made.  Within an hour I called Hotwire to cancel my reservations.  The lady on the other end asked me why I was cancelling and refused to cancel.  She told me in an indirect way, the reason wasn't good enogh to cancel my car reservations.   Itold her, as a customer, and here in the states, that is my right. She still refused to cancel.  I Informed her I would be contacting my credit card company if they refused to cancel and dispute the charge.  I hung up the phone, and could not locate my card, so I contactEd my credit card company to cancel the card.  After canceling the card, I looked at my itinerary with hotwire, and there was no type of notification to the customer about their "cancellation policy".  They were going to still charge my card for services not rendered.  Use Expedia, they are not like Hotwire, I had to cancel a hotel Through Expedia.com and I had no problems.  And before booking anything, always find out about that cancellation policy first, before giving your credit card number.
