  •      This place lacks customer service, they're called (HOUSE FURNITURE ORIGINALS)now, still operating under the Howies which is closed, FALSE ADVERTISEING/ILLIGAL) Staff is very rude, from the minute you walk in no one care to help, you can be in the store for some time before someone offers to ask you anything, But I taught I can get past that since they were close to my house and don't have to drive to far. Bob and the lady Sam are ripping people off, I ordered furniture in the afternoon before closing and the next day at 10:00 am I called to stop the order from going through and get my deposit back, the lady Sam tells me she placed the order at 7:00 am and can't calcel it anymore and they'll keep 30% of the full price, Really? The store opens at 10 and you placed the order at 7? SHE WAS UNBELIVABLE RUDE AND WITH A ATTITUDE.(not a way to treat you're customer) Then Bob the manager very unprofessional and also rude because he already knew the situation and tried to cover up his assistant said she probably placed the order the night before, wow! Keep you're story straight.

  • I called the manufacture and they told me the order can be canceled without problems since it was a matter of 3 hours, if that was true, but no they decided to keep$ 275.00 of my money for  no reason at all. I took the rest of the money and they will never get my business again.


  • One more thing they will lie, they will give you a short time frame for delivery just to get you in when everyone else said it's longer. BEWARE IF YOU DONT WANT TO LOSE MONEY AND BE TALK DOWN ON!!!!!

As a customer never have I experienced such customer service. If I'm paying for an item I have the right to pick and chose and if I'm not happy the right to cancel. I NEVER SAID I CANT AFFORD THE SOFAS!!! THATS ANOTHER ONE OF THEYRE LIES!!! I actually paid more on the deposit than I was asked and paid in cash. Another lie to justify they're action. I payed the deposit thinking I'm working with honest people, WRONG! i found out later that the sales person was charging me extra for pillows that actually come with the sofas and the fabric too, I was told by another store that 2 pillows come with every sofa and the fabric is included in the price by the company. WOW!!!!! Who's the the GREEDY, LIYNG, DISHONEST one?

My first visit I looked around no longer than 5-10 minutes and when I asked for the fabric samples because I already knew what sofas I wanted, the sales person refused and said there's too many and when I'm ready to buy he would show them to me, never heard that from a sales person trying to sell furniture. Yes my husband wanted to leave bacause he didn't like store and customer service we were getting, but because he knew I really liked the sofas and didn't wanted to drive farther we made a deposit,  and then decided to change the color, AGAIN, IF I PAY FOR IT I HAVE THE RIGHT GET WHAT I WANT!!! You see anything wrong with that?

Not to mention when I was looking throughout the fabrics the sales person had the guts to wrongly accused my daughter of getting one on the sofas in the store dirty, she wasn't eating or drinking anything, just plain unprofessional by the sales man while customer is making a purchase. You can't expect more form someone that's paid by the hour not commission and customer service as they mentioned. When I called to cancel my order early in the morning at 10:00 am opening time, the girl with the nasty attitude makes up a story and said she placed the order at 7:00am, AGAIN STORE WAS NOT OPENED unti 10:00am, but when you're intention is to keep a customers deposit at any cost lies will be told.

I also asked why my receipt didn't have the current store name on it but the name of a store that's out of business/closed on the receip she raised her voice and said she doesn't owe me an explanation and hanged up on me, another big reason I canced my order. I also never agreed to have ANY amount of my deposit deducted, there was no reason to, I canceled everything right away without any cost to the store. SO WHY IS THE STORE KEEPING MY DEPOSTI??? So after numerous attempts trying to contact the store staff only to get rude, name calling, and being yelled at, I decided to get police assistance. I'm glad I did, they gave us great advice and told us  What needs to be done to have the store investigated. They claim I spent 3 hours in the store, not even close, but again I didn't know I have to pay for walking in to a store and leave if in not happy. 

Now who opens a new store and and decides to use the name of a out of business/close store and no where on the receipt has the new store name? Unless they have something to hide and operates a SHADY BUSINESS. YOU WONDER WHY I DIDNT WANTED TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE ANYMORE? They claim they did business for a long time, this store is new from what I was told. They won't be in business for a long time if this is how they try to make they're money. GUARRANTY!!

I'm glad I didn't give these people the opportunity to take more of my money, I took my business to another legit store that knows how to treat they're customers And I'm very happy with my purchase. I NEVER had such horrible experience, and hope never to come across such people. Not surprised they're parking is always empty and no customers in the store. 

So CONSUMERS PLEASE learn from others experience, if you want to be treated with respect, take you're business somewhere else.

Our store unlike other furniture stores sells quality unique designer furniture items for much less than almost all cometitors. We do not pay commision salespersons thus NO pushy sales staff so as this customer said: NO, following customers like puppy dogs is not ever going to happen here. Our staff is friendly because earnings are not based on sales. This customer came in the store spent an hour or so with our sales staff picking out fabric for her new sofas. She did not buy at this visit. She did come back with her husband and again looked over the hundreds of fabric samples all with staff assistance answering questions incluing warranty information, delivery times and much more that said she was in the store so long her husband finally said something like lets go already just buy it and go, I'm hungry. She pruchased and the saleman at our store noted on the invoice the special "order time of 6-8 weeks". That factory usually ships us as short as 4 or 5 weeks and most cases 6 or 7 that is why we state 6-8 trying to over-deliver and not dissapoint. After writing this customer's invoice for 2 sofas and $100 worth of special pillows she came back  for a third time and changed the fabric selection on couches and changed the fabric on the pillows after again being assisted by staff. Customer claims no assistance. Who do you believe now? WE ARE NOT DONE. JUST BEGGINING.

Staff has assisted this customer up to 3 hours now and it gets better. The store agrees to these changes without cost to the customer--not bad. Then the customer goes home and calles the store and cancels the decorator pillows.  We accomodated the customer and did not charge the customer for either change or the pillow cancellation. The followng morning the customer calls again this time with the story that she wants to cancel the order because she is afraid we won't deliver in the 6-8 weeks as written on the sales slip. WOW. We sell lots of orders and almost all come in within 5-6 weeks less often at 8 weeks. This is explained to the customer and is certainly not reason for us to cancel a special order. She then says she can't afford the sofas now and just wants to cancel. So she took it upon herself to call the manufacturer to tell them to cancel her order so we could just give her a refund in full. We have a huge store with the most selection of sectionals from higher-end furntiure makers along with so many unique items from around the world making us quite different from the roomstores, mors and ashleys of the world. That said most customers shop around which is great for us. We do charge between 15%-30% to cancel orders based on items purchased. However the store prefers that a consumer that does not want the purchased items switch to a different item at NO COST TO TH CUSTOMER for an equal or greater cost of goods purchased and any staff can do this without management approval. We gladly will modify orders. THIS CUSTOMER WAS OFFERED THIS OPTION  AND REFUSED.  NOT LOSING A PENNY NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THIS CUSTOMER.

After this customer c alled and abused almost all of our staff numerous times we reduced or cancel fee to $275.00 on a $1,570.34 special order. We would have rather she reselected at NO COST but no satifying this customer. She agrees on the phone to accept the $275.00 cancel fee and we would refund the rest of her deposit. The husband comes in within hours and is refunded promtply. YOU THINK WERE DONE - NO WAY! WE DID AS AGREED. NOT GOOD ENOUGH AGAIN FOR THIS CUSTOMER. The next day she shows up with the POLICE and many wild accustaions. One thing we can assume but never know - WHAT WAS THE REAL REASON SHE WANTED TO CANCEL? YOU GUESS.  I have been doing business in this town 30 something years and this one wins the cake. I still work and run my business without hidind behind some salespersons.

Called back to try to get all my deposit back because I didn't think they have the right to keep it and question why my receipt Said Howie's furniture instead of House furniture originals and Sam wouldn't let me talk to Bob the manager, claimed he left for the day, he also picked up the phone and I could hear him, and she said she doesn't owe me an explanation and hanged up on me. Wow.....she had no explanation, they are operating withou a license I guess.
