'HOUSE OF BRIDES' - do not purchase from them!- I purchased a dress in November of 2012 from HOB and when it arrived it was a child's size and not the adults size I ordered. Not only that the fabric was a cheap polyester and not taffeta as advertised. I had tried the same dress on in Australia and the quality was excellent. I knew the make, model and size and exactly what quality to expect. This was not the dress.
I immediately call the customer service line and advised them. They don't deal with the complaints only take the calls and pass on the details to management. After a number of calls, I finally found some email addresses on Bad review online from someone who had had the same experience. I emailed them all and finally got a response which was that I had ordered a child's size. I disagreed, no response after that. I called the customer service line again and the lady who's conversation I have a recording of confirmed that she also could not find a child's size to order and suggested it was a special order.
I also have an email from a manager on the customer service line who also looked for the dress on their site in the child's size with no luck. To date I still have no proper resolve and management refuse to enter into any discussion regarding the dress. This was also reported, as I mentioned by another customer, who had the same experience. I am now married and had to at the last minute by a dress off the rack for $1100 as well as having outlaid $271 for the HOB dress and taking way over budged.
