I took out a loan through Household auto a few years ago. Everything was fine until I had become behind in payments about 20 days. I got a rude awakening I talked to a rep with Household Auto who worked out a plan to keep up this was Aug of 2001 and to start in September through December 2001. The plan was to pay $742.00 a month and in January 2002 I would not have a payment. Well January 2002 came around I was called to make a payment I explained what I was told and the rep stated they had no record of the conversation and that I would need to pay the $490.00 to catch up I was pissed at this time.

I had paid huge payments and this was only paying late fees which I did not know about. Well months later I was destroying my credit with other companies just to make things right with one company. I turned to my credit union who refia'd my car. I called Household to let them know that I was overnighting the payoff. The Rep Ray screamed at me telling me "You cannot do that". I could not believe that a company would act in this nature. I called my bank had stop payments done on any checks or electronic payments from Household Auto.

This company single handed destroyed one of my checking accounts at one bank, caused fees to be assesed at my credit card companies which one is Household Mastercard. Household acknowledge making errors debiting my checking account but would not put it writing even to it's credit card company who assesed huge fees against me. I have paid both off and will never use again.
