I called the automated line at Household Automotive Finance in order to get the full payoff amount for my 2001 Chevrolet Malibu. Upon receiving this information I went to the bank and spoke to the manager who created and mailed in front of me a cashier's check for the full payoff amount of the loan. Approx. 11,444.09.

The check was mailed on Sept. 13. I waited for my title. No title. I was informed that Household received and stamped this on Oct. 2, 2003. Three weeks from Cincinnati, Ohio to Carol Stream IL?? Normally, it takes one to two business days for regular mail. As a result, they are holding my title hostage for 45.00 and will not waive this.

I left voicemail for two separate managers one at this department and one at the customer service department neither of which has bothered to return my call. The reps in small payoffs are very nasty and tell me to prove when I sent it and prove when I received it????

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with and I am going to take this to the top until it is reversed. I am a customer service rep myself and have a bachelors degree in business and 1 year old and MBA so far.
