Complaint Review: Househole Finance Corporationqq

To make a long story short they were dishonest from the get go. The guy taking our loan suckered us into trusting him by claiming he was a christian. He told us we would have the loan paid off in 5 years. he totaly got one over us on the terms.

OK, we were foolish not to be more alert! that one is on us.

But then we wise up and try to pay the whole thing off. First we discovered that there are realy two balances. the one they put on your statements as the balance and anoter one... a secret balance they don't tell you about until after you try to pay what you thought was the real balance.

Then the kicker:

we sent the check in only to find it bounced cause our bank doesn't clear large funds for a few days. Anyway, we call HFC and explain what happened, they nicely say no problem... we'll just resubmit the check. So we go about our business for a month thinking we are done. Then we get a phone call saying our payment is late. WHAT? the loan is supposed to be paid off! Guess what they didn't resubmit the check like they said they would (by the way, we called earlier to confirm they resubmitted. They said they did, even gave us a date... liars!). So we get an extra month of interest charges. Then we say for crap sake what do we owe you to close it down? they gave us a number, we pay it. All done right? Wrong! a month later we get a bill for another couple hundred. This is where the secret balance comes in.

So then I get on the phone with Erica ***** who was extremely rude and never would address the fact that they lied to us about resubmitting the check.

Also, a good friend of ours had a very bad experience with them too. They are con artists!
