Complaint Review: HouseValues.com

I was starting to go through a divorce and could not afford to continue to pay for housevalues zipcodes. I called to cancel services and they told me I had to pay them over $600.00 to cancel. They sent me to collections. The collection agency even called my distant relatives and questioned them about me. They even have added interest to the amount they say I owe them.

Lawyers do own the company I have been told. I have called and left messages for the person incharge of collections at HouseValues to call me back (they never did)...I have sat on hold to talk to them and they never got off the phone to talk to me. When I first started with that company I ever referred them customer's now I am embarassed after what they have done to my credit.

I don't know how to remove this collection from my credit history. Did you know in the state of Washington if you pay the collection amount they can still tag on more money and send it to another collection agency to collect even more money from you? This is what I have heard from someone who worked for a credit infomation service. I really don't know what I can do next!!! clair f.hills, mi
