Scott Butler and "Kinky" Ken Simmons came to an agrement over Scott's attempt to have a sex change operation paid for with City Funds. Kenny Boy told Butler that if he dropped his request to get a sex change operation, HACLA would buy Scott a new toy. Well Scott then went out and put in a purchase order for a 2010 Dodge Charger STX police interceptor with a price tag of $49,890 ! ! ! !  He then added a request for some machine guns for his SWAT team. The only problem is - there IS no SWAT team at HACLA. In fact there isnt much of anything at HACLA in the way of security other than the hidden cameras Scott had installed in the men's rooms to monitor alledged perverted sex acts. Sanford Riggs is so upset over the cameras that he now will only use the restroom at the Silver Platter bar across the street from HACLA Headquarters.

When the request came across Rudy Montiel's desk, he came unglued and demanded to know from Ken Simmons what the hell was going on with Butler's requests. Ken then had to explain to a purple faced Rudy that he had come to an agreement with Butler to drop the sex change request in exchange for a "toy". The confusion resulted in the term "TOY". Simmons meant a SEX TOY, not a police car and machine guns! Simmons explained to Rudy that HACLA has a charge account at the Pleasure Chest on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood and had authorized Butler to buy up to $500 in maritial aids on HACLA's dime. Butler obviously misunderstood the agreement.

Now Butler and Simmons aren't speaking to each other, Montiel is worried Mayor Villaregosa will find out how much money he is wasting and that Montiel is barely putting in 4 hours a week for his $430,000 a year job, and Riggs is wondering why Montiel, Simmons and Butler are still on the payroll after this latest fiasco.

Just this afternoon Larry Goins was overheard in the hallway muttering, "And we thought Don Smith was an idiot, I'd give a months pay to get him back in charge of this circus."

Upgrading To Better Vehicles Is Not The Problem...

#5General Comment

Tue, April 20, 2010

As stated before, I have met Scott Butler on several occasions, twice at the Gay Pride Parade (once in West Hollywood and at Long Beach) and again, even more recently at the California Highway Patrol Used vehicle auction in Torrance, where I overheard him casually complaining to the employee at the auction desk that as a result of city and state budget cutbacks, his guard department was denied any further financial upgrades which has put his dream police car, the Dodge Charger STX police interceptor on hold for a few more years.

Therefore, he was lowered to go out shopping at used car lots to help keep his public guard agency at a somewhat professional level. Apparently, so the story goes, none of this is Butler's fault. He's just doing a job that others in the HACLA organization won't do. His requests for budget vehicle maintenance has now hit a new all-time low. He has been sent out to buy used ex-California Highway Patrol vehicles from the car lot, vehicles which are usually reserved for taxi cab companies and police wanna-be's. Scott Butler is none of the above. Although I will admit, I have heard through talk at the HACLA employee cafeteria that it is common knowledge Scott Butler gets as much respect in his security guard uniform as the character in that recent movie "Mall Cop." Yet, he likes wearing the uniform too much to want to rock the boat any further with "Kenny Boy."

That day I saw him at the CHP auction lot, Butler ended up bidding for a dark green Ford Crown Victoria with leather seats, (obviously an ex-CHP's captain's car) but he had some competition. There is this big fat white guy who always hangs around there who drives nothing but Crown Vic's and usually pulls into the lot with an official state handicapped placard and wears big baggy shorts and flip-flops. This guy, (whoever he was) had a few harsh words with Butler, claiming that it was he who first bid on the green Crown Vic and accused Butler of color of authority by showing up at the auction in HACLA guard uniform as a means to intimidate other potential car buyers. Therefore, in an effort to keep the peace, Butler, being the gentleman that he is, backed down from this fat white piece of trash and let him bid successfully bid on the vehicle. Needless to say, Butler had to settle with something less in "police appearance" and was forced buy a Ford Taurus.

But the real problem here is not Scott Butler. The real problem is Rudy Montiel. I heard through very reliable sources that Montiel is so busy kissing the rear end of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, that it was he who personally requested (through approved tax payer funding) the festivities of the first openly Gay State Assembly Speaker John Perez, (who just happens to be Villaraigosa's cousin) and funded the personal appearance of the Gay Men's Chorus for the inaugural ceremonies. This is an outrage. Is this where our hard-earned taxes are going?

We need answers. We need to disband HACLA if the mismanagement of financial funds is ongoing. We need a complete shakeup with the HACLA executive committee and we need a solid overhaul.

  Stanley.

Butler Deserves That Car

#5UPDATE Employee

So what's the big deal about Butler wanting HACLA to buy him a $50,000 high performance car? Rudy Montiel is having a private elevator installed in the HACLA HQ so he doesn't have to ride in the same elevator as the "unwashed clients" who come to the building every day.

How is Butler supposed to pick up young guys on Santa Monica Blvd in a 10 year old Crown Vic???
