I took my 2016 chrysler 300 to John McNight for hail damage. He provided an estimate and scope of work on damages to my insurance company. He had me sign a document allowing him to speak on my behalf to Liberty Mutual. My insurance company provided him with a check for $10,109.00 to replace some aspects of the car and to repair others. The car was dropped off on 3/26/17 amd was promised to be completed 30 days from that date. We were contacted on 3 differant occasions saying the car was complete and to pick it up. Each time Mr. McNight would call and say it really was not complete and he needed more time.

On the third occasion we went anyway to pick up the vehicle only to discover that none of the repairs had even been started. We took the car with us and drew up an intent to repair document before returning the car at Mr. McNights request. He said he needed two more weeks to finish the car and gave us a pick up date on 6/4/2017. When we arrived the car was still incomplete and had new damage to it. Mr. McNight would not answer the door and finally had his wife come to the door who threatened us with a gun. We then called the Houston police department who allowed us to take our car and informed us the buisness was being operated illegally since it was a residential neighborhood and was being used as a buisness. We would like our insurance money refunded in full.

Falsely Slandered?

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, July 11, 2017

HHR is an established, respected business in the community. It has spent large sums of money, time, and effort serving the community in it’s industry and building a positive reputation. We are saddened that we have an unhappy customer. We are also disappointed that a customer may have resorted to slandering our reputation with false information attempting to force us into an unfair resolution. Providing excellent service to our customers is highly important.

This customer retrieved the vehicle from us both times without allowing us to complete the repairs. To imply that we had the vehicle for 30 days and did not even begin repairs is outrageous and totally untrue. This vehicle had excessive damage and took longer than normal to repair. We have our inspection/light repairs, and estimating facility legally located in a neighborhood office.

Video recording of this customer and a male accomplice shows the entire encounter she describes. They were greeted on location. The male was screaming, and being very aggressive. Police were called they then returned our rental vehicle which was driven through several states and ran 3 tolls.
