Complaint Review: Howard Goldberg DDS

On January 7, 2013, Howard Goldberg, DDS made a commitment to purchase advertising space on the student drug & alcohol prevention folders that we print annually every Fall for Boynton Beach HS. Two days later, we designed a proof of Dr. Goldberg’s ad and submitted it to him for his approval. He signed off on the ad and then paid for it. He noted that he was, in fact, happy with the way his ad came out. On February 13, 2013, Dr. Goldberg contacted our art department to ask if we could provide another copy of his ad proof and inquired about our production schedule relating to his folders. We provided his second proof and reminded him of when to expect his folders.

The following week, he called our office again asking to speak to the local account executive who sold him his ad. He was told by Lewis Victor that he would be handling the Boynton Beach HS account from that point forward, not the local account executive. Dr. Goldberg then became very rude and agitated because he wasn’t getting his way. He then asked when the folders would be delivered to the school and was told that they would arrive at the school in August of 2013, as we do every year. Seemingly unsatisfied with that response, he became increasingly belligerent and unprofessional.  We told him that we would make every attempt to rush the folders out to both him and the school.

The next day, Lewis Victor contacted Dr. Goldberg to inform him that we were, in fact, able to rush the folders through production and that he would have his sample and certificate of appreciation in his hands within 10 days. The folders were printed and the doctor received his product, as promised. He contacted Lewis Victor 3 days later to say he was happy with our performance and the product. Dr. Goldberg was notified then that, although he did get his product early, the school would receive their shipment in August.

On May 13, Lewis Victor received a threatening phone call from Dr. Goldberg stating that he had noticed that some of the educational information relating to the Federal Government was not up to date. It was explained that the reason his sample was inaccurate was because of the extreme rush he demanded. Dr. Goldberg then began to bully our company by threatening to use friends he had at Boynton Beach HS and in the local network news to soil our name and reputation, which he did, in fact, follow through with. Dr. Goldberg wrongfully lied and falsely accused our company of not doing exactly what was stated in this response. We have detailed documentation outlining this entire matter.

Dr. Goldberg was deceitful in that he reached out and flat out lied to Boynton Beach HS and the other merchants who, along with him, purchased advertising space on these folders. Some have been with us for years. They were falsely told by Dr. Goldberg that we took their money and would never produce a product. This is reprehensible! We have published these folders for Boynton Beach HS for years – without incident. We are sad and very disappointed with Dr. Goldberg as we are a neighboring business and have no idea what his motives are. He has gone far out of his way in an attempt to publicly humiliate our company and some who work here personally. He has done this all for his own personal gain and publicity.
