Howard L. Blau He took me for $10,000 and lost my case! New York New York
I retained Blau to file a simple lawsuit. He took my $10,000 retainer, filed the complaint and never got back to me again. I tried contacting him for several months.
The case was either thrown out or lost, when he finally contacted me, he never informed me his law license was suspended months earlier! He claimed he was working to overturn the decision.
Of course he never returned any unused portion of the retainer or my case file after numerous requests.
What an abuse. Please watch out for this guy. He is a thief.

Make sure you file a complaint with the New York State Bar. It may give you your best chance to get your money back outside of a lawsuit.
