Complaint Review: HOWTOBEAPLAYA.COM

On June 20, 2006 I submitted an order to Jubudiwa.com for a women's Lacoste and saw a charge on my bank statement from howtobeaplaya.com. I received an email from both companies following the charge and realized that they were the same organization. I did a google search on howtobeaplaya.com and came across the ripoffreport.com. After reading all of the negative information on this company I started to worry that I wouldn't receive my merchandise either.

When the confirmation email was sent, it stated that I would receive my item in 2 - 15 business days and today (7/13/06) is the 15th business day. I haven't gotten my Lacoste polo, however, I will submit an update if things change. Neither website provides a phone number, but I did try the toll free number that was listed on this site and I didn't get an answer either.

I have sent numerous emails regarding tracking information for my merchandise and haven't gotten anywhere. I did however run across another phone number that was listed on the better business bureau's site and called. A gentleman answered the phone, "hello" and when asked if this was howtobeaplaya.com, he said, "no, this is a car dealership in NY." I know that he was lying and maybe someone else can try the number and see what happens. I will not recommend either site to anyone ever and have already started the process to receive a refund from my bank.
