I purchased a HP Officejet 4215 for about $90.00, back in APRIL. The printer offered a 20.00 rebate which made this printer a little more attractive. Naturally, I completed the rebate form online and supplied hard proof of the Serial number and model number as required.

Yesterday, JUNE 5, I received a note from HP that my form was missing the required identification codes and asked me to re-submit them. Now clearly, I would have not sent the Rebate to HP if it wasn't filled out completely! Why would I delay processing of a 20 buck refund by submitting a partially completed rebate? I wouldn't.

Why does the consumer have to jump through so many hoops in order to receive a rebate? I can tell you for the money I spent I would have purchased a much better printer from Canon for around the same amount of money, which is why HP in this case, lured the consumer (me) into purchasing their product instead knowing that the rebate process will be delayed and hopefully the customer would just give up.

Well guess what I will submit the required information back to them, make a copy of what I complete and date it. Let's see what the excuse is next time. In the future I will never purchase a product with a mail in rebate and I am unsure if I would buy anything from these scam artists again.
